Legal translation
Legal translation- a foray into the world of learned men
Translating legal materials is like walking on a tightrope because the final text not only have to reflect the source material and the writing must also be professional and articulate. Even to seasoned translators a proper dictionary is a must and that is why I am presenting the following reference materials:
Lexique de l'anglais juridique by Stefan Kettler contains the basic terms of the British legal system such as the crown prosecution service and conveyance(acte de vente ou de transmission de propriété) and ten pages of symbols and abbreviations.
F.H.S Bridge, legal dictionary from french to english is a publication of the Council of Europe and it covers the essentials of EU legal affairs. While the

Network administrators
Your server logs
We all know that the internet is a public place and that network attack is likely due to the availability of free utilities essential for:
-password cracking
-network scanning
-unauthorized access to application server
-and man-in-the-middle attack
Examples of the above tools, enable a youngman based in Florida to configure the server on a New York company to the servers of telephone companies. The young man retailed this illegal routing access to his own clients, who made about 500 000 telephone calls. Leaving the New-York based investement advisory firm with a bill of 300 000 dollars. He is currently under criminal investigations and there is a simple message there for all network administrators; how often do you check your server's log, just to see what was bouncing off your machines.

Web site accessibility
Web site accessibility
We all know what we call web design essentials such as using multicolumns layout, clear navigational systems, web site timely download and clarity in the presentation of mission statement. However, user-centred design and accessibility experts are saying that the above conditons are insufficient and that designers must take into consideration how people with disabilities use the web, if the global communication network is to reach its full potentials. Already the web standard organization has issued the following guidelines pertaining to:
-web content accessibility
-user-agent accessibility
-authoring tool accessibility.
So, where do you stand or what do you think?

Web blogging
Web blogging...
There is a big difference between a web blog and a web site. And it's not surprising that the readers of Financial Times weekend discovered only in the issue of March 15, 2006 that blogging is important for democratic culture and journalism. The author of the article,(jonathan margolis) made this observation after considering web blog to be the "unwanted thoughts of the great unwashed," but he changed his mind after visiting a blog that was properly organized with views on diversified subjects.

Bootcamp or dual boot system
Dual boot system
That dilemma of paying for ftp, video-conferencing or screen-shot applications that Apple users have to accomplish is now resolved with the recent introduction of bootcamp. Once the macintosh user is able to:
-understand the system requirement
-wade through bootcamp technical documentation
-do the download
-get the firmware
-and partition his hard disk to be able to have the Apple and Windows operating systems on one machine.
parallels.com is another alternative to the bootcamp option.

Search engines and online databases
Search engines and online databases
There are business researchers that say that the internet as a research tool is not effective when it comes to doing patent and legal searching. Another group of researchers believe that whatever the search sector, search engines help to reduce the cost of online research, as it offers an overview of what is available on the web.
Internet searching defines the preliminary scope of the research status, especially what is free, despite the fact that the quality and the cogency of internet search displays cannot be assured, where do you stand?
